Bring your groups to perform for and hear other choral ensembles from across the county. A qualified clinician will record comments and if time permits lead your students in a short on-stage clinic. Since our festivals are free to members, this is a low cost opportunity to give all your ensembles a festival experience. We offer two clinics in the valley and one in the high desert.
Our events are:
Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Fontana High School
Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Granite Hills High School
Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Citrus Valley High School
The SBCMEA is the result of a collaboration between the board of volunteers that runs the SBCMEA and the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools. All of these great opportunities can be yours for a nominal membership fee. Most districts pay their county assessment (our primary source of funding) so why not take advantage of these great opportunities from your local Music Educators’ Association and your county Superintendent.
There are two copies of our registration form, (one in Word, one PDF). Please either print, fill out, and scan your registration and return it to me via e-mail OR copy the registration text into an e-mail and get it back to me. Either way, I’ll get your information.
Upon acceptance to the clinic you will receive an e-mail from the Choral Rep confirming your registration. About two weeks prior to the festival, you will receive another e-mail requesting your song selections for the program. Please note that this is a traditional clinic – recorded accompaniments are not allowed. If you have any questions please contact:Ryan_Duckworth@cjusd.net
