GENERAL INFORMATION

Welcome to the Basin High School Band page! Below you can find all of the information about auditions, rehearsals, and the performance.

AUDITION INFORMATION
AUDITION DATE: Saturday, December 14, 2024
AUDITION TIME SLOTS: Times of auditions are e-mailed to directors.
LOCATION: Bloomington High School, 10750 Laurel Ave, Bloomington, CA 92316
REDLANDS USD AND COLTON JUSD STUDENTS: Make sure you are not signed into your district provided Google account if you attempt to view these files. Their permissions prevent access to outside attachments like these while signed in.

AUDITION REGISTRATION
Registration Form (Down Below): Click Here

1. On your parking website or app, click "Send money with Zelle."
2. Add or select recipient. Search "[email protected]" and it should come up as SBCMEA.
3. Select the exact payment amount. For fees, it is $10 per audition
4. IMPORTANT: In the "Memo (Optional)" field, please indicate your school and which honor group/event.
5. Review and send.
6. SBCMEA is notified.

1. Make Checks Payable to "SBCMEA"
2. In the memo line, write "Basin HS Honor Band"

Scales:
Two of the twelve major scales and a chromatic scale are required for the audition. The major scales should be two octaves (three where appropriate), and the chromatic scale should be played through the full range of the instrument.

Sight Reading:
Students will be asked to sight-read an excerpt of music selected by the adjudicator.

  • Rehearsal Info:
    • (1/14/2025) Sectionals Saturday, January 25th at Bloomington HS 2pm-5pm
    • Friday, January 31st, 2025 at the University of Redlands - 8:30am-3:30pm
       
  • Dress Rehearsal Info:​
    • Saturday, February 1st, 2025 at the University of Redlands - 8am-11am
