Dear High Desert Band Directors,

The San Bernardino County Music Educators Association, in cooperation with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, is pleased to announce the 2026 High Desert Middle School Honor Band! This year’s Honor Band will be conducted by Mr. Sean Portanova, longtime band director in the Hesperia Unified School District and faculty at Victor Valley College. It’s a tremendous opportunity for students to grow musically, connect with peers from other schools, and represent their own band programs with pride.
